Bill Feldman Senior Counselor
Bill Feldman, a senior counselor with PulsePoint Group, has more than 30 years experience at the intersection of law, journalism, politics and public policy. He has combined his background as a lawyer, a journalist and communications executive to work with PulsePoint Group in crisis and issues management, and provides counsel and writing support across the breadth of the firm’s offerings.
Major accomplishments for PulsePoint clients include development and execution of a litigation communications strategy for a group of multinational companies defending a U.S. lawsuit, development of an innovative and award-winning human rights policy and due diligence program for a major global telecommunications company that was facing criticism and boycotts for its sales in the Middle East, development of an online issues management command center for a global company based in Europe, crisis management for a chemical manufacturing firm whose plant exploded and burned, and development of a crisis communications plan aimed at media, analysts and investors for a “fund of funds” that suffered major losses in the Bernard Madoff scheme.
Prior to his work with PulsePoint Group, Bill was president of Agra Informa, Inc. (a unit of Informa plc), the leading information company in the U.S. covering food and nutrition regulation and policy. His background in crisis management includes coverage of the U.S. mad cow crisis of 2003 (about which he has spoken at several industry conferences), obesity policy and the related lawsuit filed against McDonald’s Corp., and various food safety and biotechnology issues.
Bill holds a B.S. in Journalism, magna cum laude, from Boston University, and a Juris Doctor from George Washington University. He is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia. He has been a guest lecturer in the graduate program in business and economics journalism at Boston University, at the University of Maryland, and at the University of Texas.
